HTML, Semantics, & Codepen

The most difficult thing about this week was reading the Codepen lecture. It’s hard to look at, but once you get the hang of what elements correspond to each other it’s easier to read. I would say it’s more overwhelming when you don’t know any of the terminology, it’s easy to get lost at first glance. Following along with the instructor simplified the page as a whole.

Of the topics mentioned in the video, I looked up Javascript. It is a programming language that is used for web development alongside HTML and CSS. Its function is to make websites more dynamic and interactive. It can also change things about HTML and CSS, like the style and attribute values. To link it to an HTML file you use <script></script> tags. The script tags can be placed anywhere in the head and/or body for internal editing as well as external. External is more practical practice to keep the visual aspect of your codes more minimal, it also keeps your code categorized and thus organized.
